Selling this Russian SKS with early style script. I've only seen one other 1950 rifle with this style stamp. Two digit serial number, all matching, refurbed with scrubbed magazine. This rifle shares most of the features found on 1949 models which were the first year of production.I've never fired it, just bought it as a collectable but everything functions fine.$800 firm, no trades.

To teach the chinese how to machine the parts and assemble them they used the russian parts to teach the assembly of the first chinese sks's. Type 56 carbines with serial numbers below 9,000,000 have the Russian-style blade-type folding bayonet, while those 9,000,000 and higher have a spike type folding bayonet. This rifle only has a five-digit serial number. The LGS said it was a Norinco, but everything I've found has shown that is not possible. As I've said the ONLY markings on the rifle are the 5-digit serial numbers in the places listed below. Here's what I know about the rifle I now own: -Serial number is low.
